Traditional Caribbean Cooking

About

Hello and welcome to Caribbean Recipes
chris_colouredimg.jpgIf you are unfamiliar with Caribbean Recipes, I would like to take a moment to introduce you to the site. The first thing you should know is that Caribbean Recipes is a blog or a personal linked to my main website Dominica Weekly, which created and maintained by me, Christophe Joseph and my girlfriend Liudmila Domennova of Exotic Travel Photo. Unlike most of the bigger recipe sites that you might find on the Internet with tens of thousands of recipes, Caribbean Recipes is my personal weblog, with only a few recipes, all tested by me, my family or my friends. We invite you to try the Caribbean recipes, and if you like any, please leave constructive feedback in the comments.

Where we get the recipes
Many of the recipes are family recipes, and many of them are those that we pull from cookbooks, magazines, and newspaper clippings we’ve collected. If we have pulled a recipe from another source, we try to attribute that source where we can (sometimes it’s hard when you only have a clipping.) Mostly all the recipes shown on this blog are whole food ingredients, very seldom things from cans or prepared foods are shown. We believe in a diverse and healthy diet, and the Caribbean is the idle location to find organic foods which are great for maintaining a healthy diet.

About Chris
My name is Christophe Joseph and I live in Morne Daniel which is couple minutes away from Roseau which is the capital city of the nature island of Dominica. I work with Express Courier, who is the local agent of FedEx in Dominica. I maintain several weblogs in addition to Caribbean Recipes as part of Dominica Weekly.
